In the meantime I am exploring Inkscape, Makercam, Easel (withinthe limits of my 32 bit machine) in windoz. Here is a way of getting Inkscape 0.46 to export DXF files which can then be processed in a CAM program to generate g-code for a CNC machine. CamBam seems to be highly preferred in the polling. imported this same dxf into a trial version of CamBam and generated gcode with no problem, I cant believe that Fusion cant deal with the same file. I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks for entry level that do basic stuff fairly easily. I am thinking more user friendly or accurate, less prone to making mistakes Primarily I want to see if the CAM portion of it works better with my computer than Makercam or Easel. Since I am new to all this cad and cam stuff I figure it will take me about 400 tries!!
